Overview

Safety and Risk Senior Specialist (Health and Safety Manager) at Historic England. This is a Full Time, Permanent post with hybrid working. The location is National with offices and home-based options: Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, and Bristol.

What you will be doing

Lead on the development of the health, safety and fire risk management systems within Historic England (HE) to help ensure compliance, continual improvement and effective risk management. Act as a subject matter expert providing specialist advice and training on health and safety risk management, maintain the organisation\\\’s web-based health and safety risk management software system and conduct periodic audits of health and safety practices. Deputise for the Head of Health and Safety as necessary.

Who we are looking for

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Experience of writing and developing concise and user-friendly health and safety management policies and procedures
• Experience providing health and safety guidance on small construction projects
• Experience of the management of health
• Experience of supporting managers undertaking health and safety risk assessments and developing safe systems of work
