Overview
As our Safety and Risk Senior Specialist, you will lead on the development of the health, safety and fire risk management systems within Historic England (HE) helping ensure compliance, continual improvement and effective risk management. You will act as a subject matter expert providing specialist advice and training on health and safety risk management, maintaining the organisation\’s web-based health and safety risk management software system and conducting periodic audits of health and safety practices. You will deputise for the Head of Health and Safety as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Lead on the development of health, safety and fire risk management systems within Historic England to ensure compliance, continual improvement and effective risk management.
- Provide specialist advice and training on health and safety risk management.
- Maintain the organisation\’s web-based health and safety risk management software system.
- Conduct periodic audits of health and safety practices.
- Deputise for the Head of Health and Safety as necessary.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience writing and developing concise and user-friendly health and safety management policies and procedures
- Experience providing health and safety guidance on small construction projects
- Experience in health and safety management
- Experience supporting managers undertaking health and safety risk assessments and developing safe systems of work
Salary
National – £39,590 pro rata
