We are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them. Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a Facilities Assistant.
Contract Details: This is a part‑time fixed‑term contract until December 2026, working 21.6 hours per week, including Tuesday and Wednesday, based in our Bristol office. Salary pro rata is: £25,179 per annum. Benefits include a competitive defined benefit pension scheme with 28.97% employer contribution, 28 days holiday, corporate discounts, free entry into English Heritage sites, and development opportunities.
What you will be doing: As the Facilities Assistant, you will provide day‑to‑day operational facilities management services to Historic England colleagues and visitors in this front‑facing customer‑focused role. You will ensure the facilities are safe, clean, well‑stocked, suitably maintained, well presented and comfortable at all times, applying a consistent FM approach as the standard.
