We are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them. Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Head of Partnerships - North.

What you will be doing

This is a full time permanent role. We offer hybrid working where you will be based in one of our following offices and from home - York, Manchester and Newcastle. As Head of Partnerships - North you will lead Historic England’s grant giving and partnership-building work across northern England as well as our Business Management functions. You will do this by building confident and resilient Partnership Teams, who play an externally facing role to convene partners and champion heritage in the region, including the development and delivery of a pipeline of heritage grants. You will also lead the northern Business Management Teams responsible for ensuring compliance with agreed practices and standards in the delivery of grant-aid and our advice.
