Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Event Manager Staff Conference. This is part time (0.5 FTE), 14 month fixed-term contract. The location of this role is either York, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cambridge, Swindon, Bristol or Portsmouth, inclusive with hybrid working.
Salary National: £40,778 pro-rata Greater London+: £43,903 pro-rata. What you will be doing:
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Event Manager to lead the coordination and execution of our Staff Conference 2027, which consists of three in-person events in three locations.
- The conference will bring together employees from different regions, with each in-person event hosting between 170 and 280 attendees.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end event planning, ensuring seamless delivery.
Who we are looking for:
- Demonstrable experience of managing in-person events including AV.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working across teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, keeping to timelines and budgets.
- Troubleshoot issues during live events and remain calm under pressure.
