Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. This is a full time, permanent contract position. The location of this role is national, inclusive with hybrid working. You will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) and Cambridge.

What you will be doing: As our Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving the Azure-based infrastructure supporting Historic England's web and digital platforms. You will collaborate with the Historic England's Digital Engagement team, acting as an interface to and in support of their Azure infrastructure objectives. You will focus on maintaining and optimising Azure services, ensuring platform reliability, performance, and security. This role also includes managing traffic flows through Cloudflare, implementing best practice DevOps processes, and ensuring the end to end health of production systems.
