Role Description
The Systems & Testing engineer will work together within Hi Speed's Electrical Drives Systems team on the development of high‑performance innovative electrical drives - motors and inverters.
The Systems and Testing Engineer role focus on the automotive V‑cycle development process - from system specification to product level validation.
Key related tasks
- Definition of electrical drives system requirements and test planning
- Management of product level requirements
- Electrical Drives system modelling and simulations (Matlab/Simulink, Python)
- Development of automatic testing tools / routines (e. g. Python)
- Development of automatic data processing tools
- Test bench development and instrumentation.
- Bench and dyno testing of power electronics and motor systems, including motor characterisation and calibration processes
- Support to vehicle level testing
- Desired experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the automotive industry
- MSc or Ph D thesis on an electrical drives related topic (desirable)
- Previous experience with automotive system testing tools (CANalyzer, INCA, CANape)
- Previous experience in instrumentation and development of test benches.
- Automotive V‑cycle awareness.
- Previous experience with power electronics / electrical machines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering or related field.
