As a Domestic Loss Adjuster, you will manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims across Essex, visiting customers’ homes, coordinating visits from contractors, and settling each claim.
Responsibilities
- Assess and investigate domestic property damage claims.
- Visit claimants’ properties to gather evidence and assess damage.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and settlement recommendations.
- Manage your own schedule and meet deadlines.
- Communicate with policyholders, insurers, and contractors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of home insurance policies and domestic property.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written).
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Effective time‑management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple claims simultaneously.
Preferred (but not essential)
- Experience using Apple iPads or other tablets.
On‑the‑Job Development
- Comprehensive Sedgwick‑specific training.
- Support to attain Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters’ Cert CILA qualification.
