What We’re Looking For

To convert quote details from draft through to final item specification drawing, for customer approval. Assess/modify/create any artwork needed for specification drawing. Identify all requirements through the process to confirm suitability whilst maintaining production efficiencies. Load and maintain item data in relevant systems, and order tooling required for manufacture of product.

Responsibility Level

Position requires independent decision‑making, with supervision from the manager where necessary. The person is required to be flexible in their approach with good communication skills, having the ability to deal with individuals at all levels of the organization, and suppliers of tooling. Purchasing responsibility is required, with consideration of cost efficiencies when loading items, etc.

Responsibilities

  • To provide a first‑class service both internally and externally on behalf of Sales, Production and Product Management.
  • Interpret information supplied to carry out duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Assess if the artwork supplied by the customer is usable and make necessary amends.
  • Create accurate, detailed specification drawings and necessary manufacturing instructions in accordance with requirements and procedures and publish/update as needed.
  • Liaise with various departments to establish production needs/limitations, efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Organize repro/origination of flexographic printing plates from outside suppliers, and ensure exacting quality standards are met, along with pricing and delivery dates.
  • Run daily system reports to publish WIP data and drawings for teams to view and action.
  • Run system reports for item assessments, updates and queries needed by teams throughout the business.
  • Respond to queries, transactional issues, and perform system/item maintenance and amendments.
  • Follow ISO procedures/works instructions in place throughout the department.
  • Perform any other duties as and when requested by management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent time management, planning & organisational skills along with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and accuracy across multiple systems.
  • Well‑established analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Logical and methodical approach to workflow and problem solving.
  • Confident, enthusiastic - can‑do attitude, and a team player.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to provide hands‑on support.
  • Able to build and sustain solid working relationships within the business and work within own and other departments to achieve common goals.
  • MAC literate with working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and FileMaker preferred but not essential.
  • Artwork, colour separation and flexographic printing knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Enthusiastic approach to new technologies.

Incentive Compensation

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance‑based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 3% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
