We are looking for a skilled and motivated Construction All Risks (CAR) Adjuster to join our specialist team.

This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home, with site visits and occasional office collaboration. You will manage a diverse portfolio of CAR claims, applying your technical knowledge and communication skills to deliver outstanding service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Management: Oversee CAR claims from first notification to final settlement, ensuring efficient and fair outcomes.
- Coverage Analysis: Interpret policy wordings (e.g., JCT, LEG, DE) to determine coverage and provide clear guidance.
- Site Investigations: Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage, gather evidence, and evaluate the extent and cause of loss.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with contractors, insurers, brokers, and other parties to negotiate settlements within authority limits.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate claim records and produce detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical Application: Use your knowledge of construction practices and regulations to support accurate and informed claim assessments.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships across the claims process.
The skills you will have when you apply:
- Experience: Proven experience handling CAR claims, ideally with exposure to the London Market and engineering-related losses.
- Qualifications: CILA/CII qualification (or working towards).
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building regulations, and insurance policy frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for negotiation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess complex information and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
- Negotiation Skills: Confident in negotiating fair and timely settlements.
- IT Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
