Part‑time, Permanent. Thornden School are seeking to appoint a dedicated, organised, and compassionate Assistant SENCO (non‑teaching role) to join our Study Skills Team. At Thornden, we are committed to ensuring every student can aspire, succeed and belong. This is a key non‑teaching role supporting the strategic and operational delivery of SEND provision across our secondary school.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO to coordinate EHCP processes, annual reviews, interventions, and communication with families and external agencies.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 08:00‑16:30 (Fridays 08:00‑16:00) 39 weeks per year (term time).

Contract: Part‑time, Permanent

Responsible to: SENCO

Start date: 1st September 2026 (subject to satisfactory safer recruitment checks)
