At Danebury, we have built a vibrant and compassionate culture where pupils are supported and empowered to achieve their personal best. Our values of Empowerment, Kindness, Excellence and Resilience are at the heart of our school community.

Working closely with subject leaders, teachers and the Inclusion Team, you will help provide high-quality, adaptive learning experiences for all students, including those with SEND, SEMH and EHCPs. You will work both within mainstream classrooms and Danebury's Flexible Learning Pathway Centre, which includes the school's newly opened SEMH resource provision.

About the role

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity where you will:

  • provide in-class academic support and targeted curriculum reinforcement
  • work with teachers to prepare resources and adapt learning to individual needs
  • promote engagement, confidence, independence and positive behaviour
  • support students with SEND through adaptive teaching approaches
  • contribute to assessment and provide feedback on student progress
  • lead targeted interventions and support students' reintegration into mainstream lessons
  • contribute to safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral support
  • help monitor students' attendance, engagement and progress.

You'll play an important part in supporting students working towards GCSE and Key Stage 4 Functional Skills qualifications, helping to make learning accessible, engaging and appropriately adapted.
