OverviewWe are looking for a Workday Functional Consultant specialising in HCM Core, Recruiting, and Talent optimisation, who has worked on complex People (HR) transformation programmes to play a pivotal role in the design and detailed implementation of the People Transformation, Process & Technology roadmap at Hiscox.
Hiscox is a dynamic and innovative organisation embarking on a significant transformation of the People function, moving towards a strategic business partnering model and a digitised People Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, test and deploy Workday configuration.
Work with the Product Owner to provide input into prioritisation and delivery considerations.
Act as an adviser to the business, providing feasibility checks for ideas, enhancements and initiatives.
Provide accurate effort estimations for capacity and project planning.
Run large requirement workshops with global stakeholders.
Enable the agreed \âTo Be\â state of HR processes through Workday configuration.
Provide subjectâmatter expertise and perspectives during workshops, supporting BAs to design suitable solutions and shape the future state of Hiscox process taxonomy.
Serve as a subjectâmatter expert in Workday HCM Core Optimisation and at least three other modules (Recruiting, Absence & Time Tracking, Advanced Comp, Talent & Performance).
Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and processes.
Person Specification
Minimum 5 years experience in Workday configuration and change implementation.
Experience in largeâscale people transformation programmes, focusing on optimisation and automation of processes.
Experience working in global organisations, considering regional nuances while advocating global solutions with limited customization.
Comprehensive configuration experience across Workday HCM Core, Recruiting, and Talent.
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, confident presenting and demoing to stakeholders.
Selfâorganised, methodical, with strong attention to detail.
Problemâsolving skills, curiosity and tenacity to resolve issues and challenge stakeholders towards best practice.
Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
Excellent analytical skills, able to translate complex business requirements into effective Workday configurations.
About the Workday Functional Consultant roleWe will work closely with the Product Owner, Solution Architecture, inâhouse HR System Analysts, Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver targeted outcomes. The role requires strong functional skills, handsâon configuration, and requirement gathering collaboration with BAs. The consultant will lead the squad, providing a Workday lens across transformation changes relating to Workday HCM Optimisation.
