Join the Reinsurance Operations team at Hiscox, a global specialist insurer, and play a key role in supporting reinsurance processes across the Group.
As a Reinsurance Technician, you’ll be responsible for managing premium calculations, recoveries, and operational processing related to various treaty and facultative reinsurance programmes. You’ll work closely with brokers and internal teams across Underwriting, Claims, and Finance.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Process and manage reinsurance recoveries, accruals, and premium adjustments
- Liaise with brokers to issue collection and payment advices
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of reinsurance transactions
- Support quarterly close processes and internal reporting
- Work across multiple reinsurance types – Excess of Loss, Pro Rata, and Facultative
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance operations (ideally 1–3+ years)
- Strong understanding of reinsurance principles or willingness to learn quickly
- High attention to detail and confidence with Excel
- Proactive, collaborative, and organised
