The role
We have newly created Regional Distribution Manager roles within our regional teams for ambitious and results driven people with a growth mindset and a passion for driving value from key relationships in your region against the biggest opportunities for growth across our Sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead key local relationships for your region across large Preferred Brokers and regional leadership in Strategic Brokers.
- Work with the Regional Manager to own and drive the local Sector strategy and Sector plan deliverables. Lead sales initiatives for the branch/region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior Broker stakeholders and key contacts.
- Drive emerging broker relationships across our Accelerate Brokers.
- Find new broker relationships and own agency management for the region.
- Manage the performance of broker offices in the region, taking action to address shortfalls to agreed activity, profit and premium objectives.
- Lead, manage and attend local Broker events and hospitality.
- Lead large open market case and scheme/portfolio prospecting and pipeline management across all divisions within your region.
- Develop and drive rollover pipeline and execution, and lead big game hunting.
- Ownership of CRM and Broker Insights platform within your region.
- Regular reporting on pipeline management, and embedding a CRM culture.
- Explore and deliver on cross sell opportunities and initiatives to increase our proposition and product density with brokers and clients.
- Identify broker deal opportunities based on profiling work and pipeline management.
- Create and implement regional deals strategy.
- Deal management of all broker deals both regionally and national facilities etc.
- Accountability for key Broker strategic planning, review meetings and local QBR’s.
- Shape the regional distribution plan based on opportunity including regular review and development of Broker profiling/share of wallet activity.
- Report on broker segments to drive performance across the region.
- Act as account management lead across region, in line with best practice blueprint agreed across all regional teams.
- Provide regular coaching and development support to regional team, especially regarding account management.
Our Must-haves
- Strong knowledge of the UK Insurance market & deep understanding of the regional market you operate within.
- Track record of broker relationship management strategies.
- A strong negotiator with proven influencing skills.
- In depth knowledge and experience in account management with a track record of high performance, delivering against a significant growth agenda and business budgets/financial plans and targets.
- Proven track record in leading, motivating and developing a sales team to achieve business results or able to demonstrate the skills, mindset and behaviours to do this successfully.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and to be able to quickly establish credibility in order to develop long lasting relationships with brokers and underwriters.
- Experience of effectively managing stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercially astute with the experience and skills to build out and deliver against opportunities in your market.
- Ability to contribute significantly to the regional strategy and add value beyond your own specialism/ region for the benefit of the UK business.
- Great problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Organised with a proactive approach to juggling priorities.
- Ideally ACII qualified or exempt through relevant experience as defined by the FCA.
