We are seeking an experienced Pricing Transformation Actuary to drive the end-to-end delivery of a new, clearly defined rating model system and process for our London Market business. This role will be central to reshaping how pricing models are developed, governed, and deployed across all London Market lines. The successful candidate will combine strong technical pricing expertise with proven transformation leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate complexity in a highly matrixed environment. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring ownership, pace, and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing Model & Platform Delivery: Lead the design, build, testing and deployment of a new pricing model framework and supporting platform, including database, reporting capabilities, and UI integration. Coordinate across pricing, underwriting, IT, and data teams to ensure technical accuracy and usability. Ensure the solution is scalable, compliant, and aligned to business strategy.
  • Process & Governance Development: Define and implement a robust pricing process covering model development, updates, sign-off, and version control. Establish governance documentation, including RACI, workflow maps, and control frameworks. Drive consistency across lines of business while allowing for appropriate specialty variation.
  • Stakeholder Management & Engagement: Partner with key stakeholders, including 4 x London Market Heads of Pricing, Underwriters, IT & Data Engineering, Operations & Change Management. Serve as the subject-matter expert in workshops, decision forums, and steering committees to drive informed decision-making. Translate technical topics into clear, decision-ready materials for senior leaders.
  • Change & Adoption: Develop and execute adoption and communication plans alongside the change management team. Ensure underwriters and pricing teams understand and are fully trained on the new model and platform. Monitor adoption success, gather feedback, and iterate where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Deep experience in pricing for London Market insurance.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial modelling and pricing platforms (Excel-based models, Python, proprietary tools).
  • Proven experience in pricing model or technology transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and data requirements.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to pricing governance.
  • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills – capable of simplifying complex issues for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and delivery-focused.
