Hiscox UK is a leading brand in the insurance market. The Business Development Manager will manage High Net Worth broker relationships across the Midlands, driving growth and profitability in alignment with Hiscox’s strategic ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead relationships with key High Net Worth brokers in the Midlands region.
  • Deliver against revenue and growth targets and maintain a high‑quality pipeline of case and portfolio opportunities.
  • Forecast and plan regional financial plans in support of the Regional Management team.
  • Coordinate account management activity with Strategic Account Managers, Regional Management and Senior Leadership to maximize resource deployment.
  • Drive adoption of digital trading and improve the digital experience for brokers.
  • Provide external market insight to inform business decisions and opportunity development.
  • Collaborate with New and Existing Business Underwriting teams to increase market penetration, enhance conversion, support retention and improve broker experience.
  • Identify and act on cross‑sell opportunities across the Hiscox product portfolio.
  • Take a data‑led approach to decision making to improve commercial outcomes and broker experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a broker‑facing or account‑management role within insurance.
  • Strong understanding of the UK insurance market, with knowledge of the High Net Worth space an advantage.
  • Track record of delivering growth and building strong relationships with broker partners.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage a portfolio and take ownership of a regional patch.
  • Self‑starter mindset with drive to identify opportunities and grow a book of business.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized, resilient and able to manage competing priorities.
