b Overview /b p In this role you will lead analytics for Hiscox UK Schemes and MGA, shaping portfolio performance and driving profitable growth. You will liaise with underwriting, pricing, and operations to align analytics with strategy and governance. The role focuses on data-driven decision making, portfolio optimisation, and delivering insights and visualisations to support sustainable portfolio management. You join a collaborative Schemes team working to scale and improve performance across delegated authorities and MGAs. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li diversity and inclusive culture /li li flexible working where possible /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead and develop a 3–4 person Schemes MGA analytics team, setting priorities to align with team objectives /li li Coach analysts on technical skills, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management /li li Collaborate with Pricing and Portfolio Management to enhance analytics frameworks for Schemes MGA /li li Assess new Schemes and MGAs and provide independent reviews for underwriting management /li li Design and produce visualisation tools for Active Performance and Portfolio Management /li li Identify trends and provide insights to improve performance and achieve portfolio targets /li li Develop and execute Schemes MGA portfolio strategies to support data-driven growth /li li Identify external datasets and set internal data standards in collaboration with data teams /li li Support the implementation of new technologies (cloud data warehouses, data-visualisation tools, underwriting software) /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Leadership experience in analytical, pricing, or portfolio management teams /li li Experience partnering with senior underwriting, pricing and stakeholders to shape portfolio strategy /li li Strong insurance market experience with exposure to Schemes, MGAs, Portfolio Management, Pricing or Underwriting Performance Management /li li Proven track record leading development and execution of portfolio management strategies /li li Senior-level experience in Schemes, MGA, Portfolio Management or Pricing environments /li li Understanding of portfolio pricing, actuarial reserving, and performance management methodologies /li li Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and data visualization with Power BI /li li Experience creating analytical frameworks to support performance and strategic direction /li li Ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations /li li Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, judgement in complex environments /li li Proactive interpersonal and management skills, collaborative mindset /li li Results-driven, proactive decision-maker with strong communication and stakeholder management /li /ul ul li Interpersonal and management skills /li li Stakeholder management /li li Collaborative mindset /li li Python /li li R /li li SQL /li /ul
