We are seeking a passionate and organised H&S Adviser to join our small and growing Health and Safety (H&S) Consultancy business based in Bristol. This is a flexible role, with remote working supported when not attending client sites. We will also consider part-time applications for the right candidate.

The H&S Advisor will play a key role in providing exceptional service to clients and advising them on H&S legal compliance. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to produce clear, practical documentation and handle confidential information with discretion. You will also deliver training designed by our consultancy, so must be proactive and personable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide competent health and safety advice to a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
- Support clients in complying with current UK health and safety legislation
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and workplace assessments
- Produce detailed reports with clear, practical recommendations
- Develop and review risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safe systems of work
- Prepare policies, procedures, and health & safety management systems tailored to client needs
- Ensure all documentation is clear, practical, and legally compliant
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
- Act as a trusted and approachable point of contact for health & safety advice
- Deliver excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Represent the Mint HS professionally at all times
- Deliver health and safety training courses developed by the consultancy
- Engage and support delegates through clear, confident delivery
- Tailor training style to suit different audiences and sectors
- Provide feedback to support continuous improvement of training materials
Eligibility & Skill Requirements
Essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent
- Proven experience in a health & safety advisory role (or similar)
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Experience in producing risk assessments and safety documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills
- Confident delivering training and presentations
- Ability to manage workload independently
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desirable
- IOSH membership (or working towards)
- Experience delivering in-house or accredited training
