Licensing Administration Assistant – The Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Licensing Team on a full-time basis to support us with our taxi licensing obligations. You will be part of a small, but expanding team, and will report directly to the Licensing Manager. This is a chance to really make an impact, learn new skills, and be part of a supportive and effective team.
Licensing Administration Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
– To perform administrative duties, and to answer queries relating to taxi licensing
– To provide resilience support to the licensing team to ensure a quality, customer focused support service, which is efficient, effective, and responsive to the needs of both internal and external customers
– To maintain/update databases, records and registers using appropriate software/IT packages
– To ensure compliance with legislative requirements and procedures, assist and provide support to other members of the team.
– To process licensing applications (primarily taxi applications) made to the Council in accordance with service performance standards and statutory timescales
– Preparing and sending out routine licensing correspondence including plates and badges
– Dealing with all incoming and outgoing correspondence to the service and carrying out other administrative tasks connected with the licensing service
– Acting as a first point of contact for internal and external customers, including by telephone, face to face and IT based communication methods
Licensing Administration Assistant – You:
– You will have some previous administrative experience and be able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision to meet multiple deadlines
– 3 grade C/grade 4 GCSE’s (English required) or equivalent
– Experience of working accurately to timescales and under pressure
– Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook)
– Understanding of good customer service
– Communication (written & verbal)
– Accuracy in creation of documentation
– Strong organisational skills
