We are now recruiting for an experienced Electronics Engineer who is “hands on”. You will be offered the opportunity to have a varied workload alongside the opportunity for speedy job progression!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply electronic design expertise to develop new products and assist with improvements/changes to existing products.
  • Assist with improvements/changes to existing products e.g. in response to obsolescence, regulatory changes, cost saving, and performance improvements.
  • Liaise with other departments to provide a rapid and thorough response to engineering issues.
  • Prepare design documentation, specifications, and design transfer / manufacturing documentation.
  • Research new ideas and technologies that can be applied to RoBAT products.
  • Construction and evaluation of prototypes.
  • Occasional world-wide travel may be necessary due to the majority of our customers being based overseas.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience of electronic hardware design and development (Analogue and Digital).
  • Microcontroller development, including experience of writing PIC firmware.
  • Experience of creating schematics and PCB design, including high-speed impedance-controlled boards (previous experience with Altium PCB design software would be desirable).
  • Experience of fault finding.
