Job Description Senior Quality Engineer \ N I ndustry: Automotive Manufacturing \ N Senior Quality Engineer - Coventry - Up to £55,000 \ N Our client, a well-established automotive manufacturing business based in Coventry, is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join their engineering and quality team. \ N This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive quality professional to take a senior role with responsibility for customer, supplier and internal quality requirements, while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high quality standards across the business. \ N The Role \n Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Senior Quality Engineer will provide senior quality support across manufacturing, customers and suppliers. \ N You will play a key rolein ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing customer and supplier concerns, supporting audits and driving effective corrective and preventative actions. \ N Key Responsibilities \n \ N Conduct internal Process, System and Product Audits \ N Lead and support external and supplier audits \ N Manage customer, supplier and internal 8D investigations and corrective actions \ N Support APQP and PPAP activities for customers and suppliers \ N Manage customer concerns and ensure effective containment and corrective action \ N Participate in customerconference calls and customer visits \ N Lead BSI external IATF16949 audits \ N Maintain and control QMS documentation \ N Support supplier monitoring and performance improvement \ N Produce and maintain BOS charts \ N Complete relevant ERP transactions \ N Apply knowledge of automotive OEM and aftermarket parts \ N \n About You \n The successful candidate will be an experienced automotive quality professional with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality management systems. \ N Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes \ N Good knowledge of qualityprocedures, principles and techniques \ N Experience using manual measurement equipment, including: \ N \n Verniers / calipers \ N Micrometers \n DTI gauges \ N \n Shadow graphs \n Surface finish measurement equipment \ N IATF 16949:2016 Lead Auditor qualification \ N \n Strong knowledgeof automotive Core Tools, including: \ N FMEA \n ControlPlans \ N MSA \n APQP \ N PPAP \n SPC \ N \n Desirable Experience \ N The following would be highly advantageous: \ N Approximately 5 years' experience in an automotive quality role \ N CMM knowledge \n VDA6.3 Process Auditor qualification \ N Experience with IMDS input and distribution through the portal/database \ N Degree-level qualification in an engineering discipline or completion of an engineering apprenticeship \ N Package
