Are you someone looking to start their career in the procurement industry as a Buyer with a market leading ship supply company, where you will be given in-house/on the job training? On offer is an excellent opportunity where you will play a key role in the companies dedicated procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join an Avonmouth company who supply various consumables and spare parts to ships around the UK and overseas.
About the Role:
- Processing of customer’s quotes and orders
- Daily ordering with suppliers
- Close liaison with warehouse and logistics dept. to ensure orders are completed and delivered in a timely manner
- Issuing of delivery notes and invoices for deliveries
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers
- Maintaining and building supplier and client relationships
The Person:
- Ability to cope with pressure and adapt to situations
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good organisation skills
- Outlook, excel and word literate
