Are you organised, practical and the sort of person who likes to get stuck in? Tuff-Trek is looking for an enthusiastic Operations & Administration Assistant to join our team. This isn’t your typical office job - and it isn’t purely a warehouse job either. We’re looking for someone who enjoys variety and is just as comfortable speaking to a customer and processing an order as they are receiving stock, preparing a delivery or helping out in the warehouse. You’ll become an important part of the day-to-day running of Tuff-Trek, helping to keep everything moving from the moment an order is placed right through to delivery or customer collection.
What will your day look like? No two days will be exactly the same, but you could be:
- Answering customer calls and emails
- Processing customer orders and preparing paperwork
- Booking couriers and arranging deliveries
- Raising purchase orders and communicating with suppliers
- Receiving and checking incoming stock
- Updating customer, order and stock information on our systems
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Preparing orders for courier, pallet delivery or collection
- Helping customers when they collect from us
- Supporting warranties and returns
- Keeping the warehouse organised, tidy and efficient
- Helping prepare equipment for exhibitions, shows and events
- Supporting the wider Tuff-Trek team wherever needed
Who are we looking for? We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable, friendly and proactive. You’ll need to be comfortable moving between the office and warehouse and happy working in a role that combines administration, customer service and practical tasks. You don’t necessarily need experience in every part of the role. For us, attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important as experience.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have strong organisational skills
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Are confident speaking with customers and suppliers
- Are comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Can prioritise your workload and manage several tasks at once
- Enjoy practical as well as administrative work
- Take pride in getting things right
- Can spot a problem and help find a solution
- Are happy working as part of a close-knit team
- Aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved!
Experience in administration, customer service, warehousing, logistics, stock control or order processing would be an advantage. Experience using CRM, stock or ERP systems such as Cin7 would also be useful, but isn’t essential. And if you’re interested in camping, overlanding, 4x4s, travel or the outdoors, you’ll probably feel right at home!
Why join Tuff-Trek? Tuff-Trek is all about helping people get out there and have adventures. We supply everything from rooftop tents, awnings and expedition equipment through to storage systems, vehicle accessories, campers and complete overlanding setups. You’ll be joining a small, friendly and growing team where your contribution really matters. Rather than being limited to one small part of the business, you’ll get to understand how the whole operation works - from customers and suppliers through to stock, orders and dispatch. As Tuff-Trek continues to grow, there will also be opportunities to learn, take on more responsibility and develop within the business.
