Backed by a leading PE firm and built by senior industry figures, the business has bold growth ambitions and a clear vision to become one of the next market leaders in valuation and advisory services. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early and influential stage, shaping the business asset valuation capability, processes and culture from the ground up.

About Our Client

Our client is a high-growth start-up operating in the valuation and advisory space, supported by private equity investment and led by a senior leadership team with deep experience across some of the most recognised names in the industry. The platform has been deliberately designed for scale, with ambitious plans for national growth, service expansion and market disruption. With significant financial backing and a clear strategic roadmap, this is a genuinely exciting time to get involved and help build the next leader in business asset valuation and advisory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality business asset valuations in line with RICS standards and professional guidance.
  • Acting as a trusted valuation adviser to senior management, board members, investors and private equity stakeholders.
  • Taking full ownership of complex valuation instructions, providing clear, defensible and commercially robust advice.
  • Liaising confidently with C-suite and board-level stakeholders on valuation matters and strategic decisions.
  • Playing a key role in establishing valuation processes, controls and best practice as the business scales.
  • Contributing to business-critical decisions within a fast-growing, PE-backed environment.
  • Supporting the development and credibility of the Manchester office and wider valuation function.
  • Helping to build the firm’s reputation, market presence and client relationships within business asset valuation.
  • Remaining hands-on while operating at a senior, autonomous and commercially minded level.

Candidate Profile

  • Fully RICS qualified (MRICS) is essential.
  • Proven experience in business asset valuation, business valuation or advisory-led environments.
  • Strong technical capability with the confidence to lead complex instructions independently.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal supervision in a high-growth environment.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders and board-level clients.
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of how valuations support strategic decision-making.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — motivated by building something rather than stepping into a fully formed structure.
  • Driven, ambitious and keen to grow alongside a rapidly scaling platform.
