£60,000 – £75,000 | Burnley | Hybrid Working
Hirexo are partnering with a well-established Restructuring and Insolvency Advisory based in Burnley, supporting the appointment of a Senior Insolvency & Restructuring Consultant. This is a senior, client-facing advisory role within a referral-led practice, offering exposure to complex restructuring and insolvency cases across the SME and owner-managed business space. The role suits an experienced professional who is comfortable leading director conversations, shaping strategy and managing cases end-to-end.

Our client is an independent restructuring and insolvency advisory operating across the North West, supporting directors, lenders and stakeholders through periods of financial distress, restructuring and formal insolvency. The firm benefits from a strong flow of warm, inbound enquiries, generated through long-standing professional introducer relationships and online presence. The Opportunity
As a Senior Consultant, you will take ownership of a varied and often complex caseload, acting as a trusted advisor to directors facing financial challenges. You will lead client discussions from initial enquiry through to appointment, working closely with Insolvency Practitioners, solicitors and other stakeholders to deliver pragmatic and commercially sound outcomes. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and is well suited to someone looking to progress toward a Manager or leadership position within restructuring and insolvency advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a senior point of contact for inbound director enquiries.
- Leading detailed financial and commercial assessments.
- Advising on formal insolvency procedures including liquidation, administration and MVLs.
- Providing guidance on informal restructuring and business rescue options.
- Managing client relationships from initial engagement through to appointment.
- Attending and leading initial meetings alongside Insolvency Practitioners.
- Liaising with solicitors, valuers and other professional advisors.
- Identifying asset, risk and stakeholder considerations.
- Supporting and mentoring junior consultants within the team.
- Maintaining strong technical knowledge through CPD and regulatory updates.
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience within corporate insolvency or restructuring advisory.
- Proven ability to manage cases and director relationships independently.
- Confident advising on liquidations, administrations and MVLs.
- Broad understanding of restructuring and business recovery solutions.
- CPI / JIEB qualification or progress toward is advantageous.
- Commercial, credible and empathetic in high-pressure situations.
