£45,000 – £55,000 | Burnley | Hybrid Working
Hirexo are supporting a growing Restructuring and Insolvency Advisory in Burnley with the appointment of an Insolvency & Restructuring Consultant. This role is suited to an early-to-mid-level insolvency or restructuring professional seeking to develop their advisory experience, increase client exposure and progress within a structured and supportive environment.

Our client is a specialist insolvency and restructuring advisory supporting SMEs and owner-managed businesses across the North West. The firm operates a referral-led model with a strong volume of warm, inbound enquiries, allowing consultants to focus on advisory work and client outcomes rather than cold business development. The culture is professional, collaborative and development-focused.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with directors experiencing financial difficulty, helping them understand their position and the restructuring or insolvency options available. Managing a caseload with appropriate senior support, you will gain exposure to a broad range of insolvency and business recovery scenarios while building the skills required to progress into a senior advisory role.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling inbound enquiries from company directors.
- Gathering financial and background information to assess cases.
- Explaining insolvency and restructuring options clearly and professionally.
- Supporting preparation of engagement proposals and documentation.
- Managing client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Attending initial meetings with Insolvency Practitioners.
- Liaising with solicitors, valuers and other third parties.
- Developing technical knowledge through structured CPD and training.
Candidate Profile
- Experience within corporate insolvency, restructuring or business advisory.
- Working knowledge of insolvency procedures and processes.
- Exposure to business recovery or restructuring options is beneficial.
- Studying toward, or interested in pursuing, CPI or JIEB qualifications.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, empathetic approach.
- Ambition to progress into a Senior Consultant role.
