We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager with minimum 5 years’ experience in highway maintenance to support delivery of a winter readiness programme across a 4,500km network. You’ll coordinate across streetworks, reactive maintenance, and contractor teams to ensure key works are delivered ahead of winter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of highway maintenance and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Manage programme timelines, risks, and budgets
- Contribute to reporting, planning, and project delivery
- Ensure works are delivered efficiently ahead of winter deadlines
Key Requirements:
- Experience in highway maintenance / transport infrastructure
- Strong project coordination or APM experience
- Knowledge of contract management (NEC preferred)
- Stakeholder engagement and team coordination experience
- Able to work across office, remote, and site locations
How many days per week office based – Up to 3 per week. How many days per week remote working – 2 per week. Visits to site required in addition to agree extents / mark up.
