Job Description Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year /n Job Description: /n Based South West - travel will be required /n Full job description /n Commercial Electrician (Renewable Energy Systems) /n Please note: Starting salary will reflect experience of applicant. /n Aims of this job /n · To plan, oversee, install and commission commercial on-site renewable energy and energy efficient systems /n Key duties /n · Working with a team or teams installing and possibly managing the installation and integration of renewable energy systems into commercial properties including: /n o Solar PV /n o Ground and air source heat pumps /n o EV Chargers /n o Energy Storage Systems /n · Collaborating with the design team to improve the buildability and practicality of our installations /n · Collaborate across the team to innovate and improve our services. /n · Project management, procurement & programming installation works /n Safe Working /n · To undertake risk assessments and to ensure that it is safe to work /n · To bring any risks to the attention of the company management and if necessary to halt work until safe to do so /n Preparation & Reporting /n · To ensure all paperwork is available and that it has been reviewed and understood before setting out to site /n · Complete all necessary job sheets, time sheets and other documentation as required /n Installation & Commission /n · To undertake all necessary pre-installation checks /n · To liaise with client, other trades and third parties as indicated on work instructions /n · To identify any changes to scope and report back to line manager as early as possible /n · If requested to do so, to record any changes to scope as agreed by line manager /n · To install equipment in line with company standards and current regulations /n · To complete all post installation & commissioning checks /n Care of equipment /n · To keep in good working order any tools, equipment or vehicles supplied by the company /n · To report any faults, breakages or equipment failures to your line manager /n Person profile Personality /n · Self-driven, proactive and results-oriented with a positive outlook, a clear focus on quality and delivering value /n · Reliable – must be punctual and ready to work as required /n · Able to lead others and be a team-player /n Knowledge, skills and qualifications /n · Practical experience of commercial electrical work /n · Good communication skills /n · Understanding and experience of working to MCS standards (preferred) /n · Ability to work in a team /n · Ability to manage own time effectively /n · Full driving licence /n · Willingness to learn new skills and technologies /n Desirable knowledge, skills and qualifications /n One or more of: /n · Part P Electrical qualification /n · Electrical Inspection & Testing /n · Practical experience or qualification in any renewable energy technology /n · BPEC, Logic or National Occupational Standards qualified in renewable energy technologies /n · C&G or NVQ level 2 or 3 in related discipline e.g. electrical /n · Experience in a commercial environment /n · Construction site experience /n · Ability to read drawings and plans /n · Computer literate /n Job Types: Full-time, Permanent /n Pay: upto £45000.00 per year /n Application question(s): /n /n - Our projects are based in the South West and across the UK therefore some working away from home would be required.
