About the Role

We're looking for a media-savvy and experienced Press Manager to lead consumer communications across EMEA. This role is part of the Global Consumer & Product Communications team and reports to the Director of Global Consumer & Product Comms (US-based). You will own day-to-day communications strategy and execution across key European markets, working closely with cross-functional teams and managing agency partners. This role requires someone who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and confidently engage with media across regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute consumer communications strategies across EMEA, with a focus on UK, Germany, and France
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align communications with business goals
  • Develop and pitch compelling press stories, brand partnerships, and event opportunities
  • Identify and execute proactive and reactive PR opportunities, including newsjacking
  • Manage European PR agencies (workflow, approvals, reporting, and performance reviews)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media and journalists across priority markets
  • Develop press materials including media lists, blog content, and briefing documents
  • Leverage data and insights to create impactful storytelling narratives
  • Oversee editorial planning and distribution of press newsletters across regions
  • Collaborate with Corporate, Public Affairs, Product, and Ads teams on announcements and launches
  • Engage with online communities and stakeholders to support authentic storytelling

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in consumer or brand communications (agency or in-house)
  • Proven experience executing campaigns across UK, Germany, and France
  • Strong network of media contacts within European consumer press
  • Deep understanding of pop culture, media trends, and digital communities
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently with strong execution skills
  • Experience working across global teams and time zones
  • Strong storytelling and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluency in English required; German is a plus
