About the Role
We're looking for a media-savvy and experienced Press Manager to lead consumer communications across EMEA. This role is part of the Global Consumer & Product Communications team and reports to the Director of Global Consumer & Product Comms (US-based). You will own day-to-day communications strategy and execution across key European markets, working closely with cross-functional teams and managing agency partners. This role requires someone who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and confidently engage with media across regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute consumer communications strategies across EMEA, with a focus on UK, Germany, and France
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align communications with business goals
- Develop and pitch compelling press stories, brand partnerships, and event opportunities
- Identify and execute proactive and reactive PR opportunities, including newsjacking
- Manage European PR agencies (workflow, approvals, reporting, and performance reviews)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media and journalists across priority markets
- Develop press materials including media lists, blog content, and briefing documents
- Leverage data and insights to create impactful storytelling narratives
- Oversee editorial planning and distribution of press newsletters across regions
- Collaborate with Corporate, Public Affairs, Product, and Ads teams on announcements and launches
- Engage with online communities and stakeholders to support authentic storytelling
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in consumer or brand communications (agency or in-house)
- Proven experience executing campaigns across UK, Germany, and France
- Strong network of media contacts within European consumer press
- Deep understanding of pop culture, media trends, and digital communities
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently with strong execution skills
- Experience working across global teams and time zones
- Strong storytelling and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Fluency in English required; German is a plus
