Supply & Inventory Planning Manager
Bristol, UK – Hybrid 3 days onsite
Fulltime- Direct Hire
Description:
Manage people, processes and systems across supply and inventory planning with Elemis’ suppliers and across the internal supply network.
This role is responsible for the successful execution of the supply plans in line with business objectives. Lead the team to ensure the availability of finished goods throughout the network. Achieving this through developing a Supply and inventory plan for products and/or vendors based on demand plan, lead-times and available inventory.
This role will work with other business leaders to support the organisation to make better decisions and balance service, cost, inventory, sustainability and risk.
Develop and maintain relationship with supply chain planning partners and other business functions.
Supply Planning
- Manage the Supply Planning process flow for Global Supply Planning Team to ensure that activities happen on time with the right quality.
- Collaborate with key cross-functional teams to model scenarios to recommend planning strategies, establish inventory targets and execute the plan.
- Convert Demand Plans into a Supply and Inventory Plan for the Elemis network. Collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure the plan is managed according to constraints and targets that are aligned with business strategy.
- Set inventory policy, safety stock settings and replenishment quantity, taking into accounts any constraints, such as lead-time.
- Manage and mitigate out of stock/supply risks.
- Manage, mitigate and report on Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory.
- Negotiate with Vendors on costs and lead-times.
- Support implementation and drive Supplier Collaborative Planning
- Support the on time launch of NPD
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assess current processes and identify and lead improvements in planning tools, reporting, processes, culture and skills required to align process outcomes with corporate goals.
Production Planning
- With the production planner:
- Develop and maintain production schedules for kitting, ensuring alignment with customer demand.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all gift sets meet the company's quality standards.
- Manage inventory levels of finished goods and packing materials, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet production requirements.
- Analyse production data and generate reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on production status and address any concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce costs.
Sales and Operations Planning
- Own the Supply Review, Key Supplier Review and Kitting Review as part the S&OP process.
- Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and improve cash flow.
People Management
- Manage Supply and Inventory Planning Team
- Mentor direct reports to create a continuous learning and improvement environment conducive to growing the expertise each team member. Create a training plan to support team development responsibilities.
- Influence direct reports to improved their maturity and collaboration.
- Drive an aligned, high-performing culture through clear performance targets and regular one-on-ones focused on culture, mindset, negotiation skills, stakeholder alignment and conflict resolution.
- Develop employee performance goals and objectives. Provide performance feedback related to business objectives.
Other
- Contribute to special projects and other supply chain and business strategies initiatives.
- Support implementation of new systems and technology (e.g. Advanced Planning System (APS).)
- Become a SuperUser and Stakeholder of Advanced Planning System.
- Be an influencer of change, that new systems/processes require.

Qualifications & Characteristics
- Good level/standard of UK/European education or equivalent.
- Educated to Degree level or similar level of work experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into high-level analysis and demand planning.
- Ability to use technology tools that facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Motivated to drive business results.
- Well-organised and high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Coaching/mentoring/influencing stakeholders towards desired business outcomes.
- Ability to work within high performing teams and is highly collaborative.
- Focus on both short-term results and long-term goals.
- Experience within luxury consumer goods or FMCG, preferred.
