Hirestake’s client, a fast-growing digital gaming studio, is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join their expanding team. The studio is focused on creating gaming experiences that challenge conventions and leave a lasting impression on players. With a growing team of around 50 people, they combine creative vision with player psychology, data, and decades of industry experience to deliver high-quality, engaging products. Their work focuses on reimagining Crash and Arcade-style casino games to create immersive, memorable experiences for players in a market traditionally dominated by slots. Innovation, collaboration, and craftsmanship sit at the heart of the team’s approach, alongside a culture that values knowledge, wellbeing, and professional growth. The company also strongly believes in work-life balance and operates a 4-day work week, alongside a flexible working environment designed to help people do their best work while enjoying what they do.
Hirestake’s client is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer who is collaborative, adaptable, and excited about solving complex design challenges. This role isn’t about creating typical casino games. It’s about designing immersive experiences that feel intuitive, exciting, and seamless — while building the systems that make that level of quality repeatable. You’ll play a key role in shaping scalable design systems that support efficient development, reduce friction in handoffs, and ensure consistency across UI controls and game features. Working closely with product owners, artists, and developers, you’ll help bridge the gap between creative vision and technical implementation while crafting engaging experiences that push the boundaries of modern digital gaming. This opportunity would suit someone who understands player behaviour, thrives in a collaborative environment, and sees constraints as opportunities for creative problem solving.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing player journeys that balance entertainment, usability, compliance, and conversion
- Applying knowledge of player psychology and engagement mechanics to enhance player experiences
- Owning and evolving the design system to enable rapid development and consistent UI experiences
- Creating wireframes and contributing to high-fidelity UI designs
- Prototyping flows and interactions to clearly communicate design intent
- Supporting user testing and design validation
- Presenting design decisions clearly while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Giving and receiving feedback openly to continuously improve product quality
- Contributing to a welcoming and collaborative team environment
- Working within the organisation’s Information Security Management System
- Leveraging AI tools to accelerate design exploration and workflow efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio of shipped digital products
- Strong understanding of components, states, tokens, and UI architecture
- Excellent knowledge of Figma and relevant plugins
- Experience designing high-engagement or performance-driven products (gaming/iGaming is a plus)
- Experience with user testing and research
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Proactive and autonomous while remaining highly collaborative
- Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments
- Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and align with business goals
- Interest in leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows
- Comfortable working within constraints and prioritising impactful solutions
Why Join?
- 4-day work week (30 hours with full-time pay)
- Flexible working options — remote, hybrid, or office-based
- 25+ days annual leave
- Supportive, fast-paced team environment
- Competitive salary with strong progression opportunities
- Access to training, mentorship, and industry events
- Remote work setup support (equipment provided)
