HireStakes is currently hiring for a remote based Game Designer for a leading B2B iGaming company.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and iterate core gameplay loops, progression systems, and meta-features for free-to-play sports games.
  • Translate real-world sports and betting concepts into engaging, non-cash gameplay mechanics.
  • Create and balance reward systems, virtual economies, and live-ops events.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and UX teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Use data and player insights to optimize retention, engagement, and monetization.
  • Design features tied to live sports events, seasons, and tournaments.
  • Produce clear design documentation, wireframes, and specifications.
  • Ensure gameplay aligns with regulatory, compliance, and responsible gaming guidelines.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional game design experience in free-to-play or live-service games.
  • Strong understanding of F2P mechanics, player motivation, and monetization systems.
  • Experience designing progression, reward, and economy systems.
  • Data-driven mindset with familiarity using game KPIs (retention, ARPDAU, LTV, etc.).
  • Passion for sports and understanding of sports-based gameplay dynamics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
