Overview

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, International, is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and business performance across the fast-growing region. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, this position partners closely with executive leadership to deliver actionable insights, develop robust financial models, and guide strategic decision making and serves as the primary business partner to the EVP of International. The Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the long-term direction of the business by assessing market dynamics, aligning resources, and ensuring operational and financial goals are met. The position requires a proven strategic thinker who can operate effectively at both the executive and operational levels, leading critical planning processes, financial reporting, and compliance activities across multiple countries and cultures. This is a hybrid role (3 days per week) in our London Office (Canary Wharf).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Market Insight: Lead comprehensive external (marketplace, competitor, technology, customer) & internal (technology, product, business unit) assessments to inform strategy. Monitor and evaluate industry trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments; recommend actionable strategies to maintain and enhance market position. Partner with vertical leaders, Sales, and Customer Service to develop vertical, enterprise, and strategic plans aligned to the annual business plan. Track and report on the performance of key strategies using dashboards, KPIs, and other performance tools.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Oversee budgeting, forecast, and financial modeling processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision‑making. Lead the International component of the company‑wide, three‑year strategic plan, including scenario planning, market positioning, gap analysis, and opportunity prioritization. Collaborate extensively with marketing and product teams to evaluate ROI, pricing strategies, product development timelines, and investment priorities. Conduct ad hoc analysis to identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost optimization, and process enhancement. Own working capital management for International in partnership with Assistant Treasurer.
  • Operational & Cross‑Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary business partner to the EVP of International, providing strategic and financial guidance on operational and commercial decisions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging best practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance planning processes and business performance. Lead, develop, and mentor a multi‑country, multi‑cultural FP&A team, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative environment. Establish clear objectives, assign responsibilities, and implement feedback loops to monitor and measure performance.
  • Executive Communication and Decision‑Making: Present complex financial and strategic concepts clearly to executive leadership and external stakeholders. Make high‑impact decisions aligned with company strategy, balancing short‑term performance with long‑term growth. Actively contribute to the implementation of new processes and systems that improve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, including demonstrated success in identifying and leveraging critical business data to drive decisions.
  • Proven expertise in competitive analysis, market assessment, and cross‑functional business planning.
  • Strong track record in developing and managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling tools.
  • Experience with RPA, Hyperion, Microsoft Dynamics GP and SAP PBC is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership success in building and managing multi‑country, multi‑cultural teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the organization.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced, and rapidly evolving environment.
