The Opportunity

This is not a traditional IT role. This is a chance to own and scale the entire workplace technology function for a growing, international business, shaping how people work, collaborate, and operate every day. You’ll take full control of the end-to-end internal technology stack, building systems that are secure, scalable, and frictionless; from device provisioning to identity management and everything in between.

What You’ll Own

This is a true ownership role, you’re not inheriting a runbook, you’re building the playbook. You’ll take responsibility for the entire workplace technology ecosystem, including:

  • Microsoft 365 environment (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange)
  • Identity & access management (user lifecycle, permissions, governance)
  • Endpoint & device management (Intune, Autopilot, lifecycle ownership)
  • Security & compliance across workplace systems
  • SaaS ecosystem management (Atlassian, Adobe Pro + wider tooling)
  • RMM tooling & operational monitoring
  • Enterprise application ownership & optimisation

The Core of the Role

Some areas are particularly critical:

  • Device provisioning at scale; especially using Autopilot within Intune (you’ll need solid hands-on experience here, ideally 3+ years)
  • User onboarding/offboarding & account management across regions
  • Mailbox & Exchange management
  • SharePoint site architecture and governance
  • Managing application access and internal tooling workflows

You’ll also oversee device supply chain and vendor relationships (including Dell & Apple), supporting teams across the UK, US, and Europe.

What Sets This Role Apart

You own the whole function end-to-end, strategy, execution, improvement. You’ll build systems that scale with a growing, global company. You’re not just maintaining, you’re continuously improving and evolving. You’ll move from individual contributor → team builder, hiring and leading as the function grows.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Experience

  • Deep hands-on experience across modern workplace technologies (M365 stack)
  • Strong expertise in Intune + Autopilot device provisioning (~3+ years preferred)
  • Proven experience managing identity, endpoints, and SaaS tools in production environments
  • Ability to manage user lifecycle, access control, and enterprise applications
  • Experience supporting multi-region teams (UK / US / EU)

Tools & Platforms

  • Microsoft 365: SharePoint, Teams, Exchange
  • Identity: Entra ID / Azure AD
  • Endpoint Management: Intune, Autopilot
  • SaaS: Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Adobe Pro, others
  • Vendors: Dell, Apple

What Makes You Stand Out

  • You’ve built or significantly improved workplace tech functions from scratch
  • You take full ownership, not just tickets
  • You’re highly detail-oriented, especially around documentation and governance
  • You’re comfortable managing suppliers and external partners
  • You think in terms of systems, scale, and user experience

Growth Path

This role is designed to evolve. As the company grows, you’ll move into:

  • Hiring and leading a workplace technology team
  • Defining long-term strategy, standards, and architecture
  • Becoming the go-to leader for internal technology and employee experience

The Bottom Line

This is for someone who wants to:

  • Take full ownership of a business-critical function
  • Build systems that every employee depends on daily
  • Operate with autonomy, trust, and real impact
  • Grow into a leadership role as the company scales
