Hours: Various shifts

The role of Retail Security Officer:

  • Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
  • Carry out company policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
  • Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
  • Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
  • Carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager
  • Keep site knowledge up to date and identify local developments
  • Understand and implement fire and safety evacuation procedures
  • Assist with staff and contractor searches when required by the client
  • Maintain the security base in a clean and tidy condition at all times
  • Conduct yourself professionally at all times, wearing full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed

The ideal Retail Security Officer:

  • SG or DS SIA Licence required
  • Aged 18 or over
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Tech-savvy enough to use digital devices for paperless admin
  • Confident communicator and team player with a friendly, professional manner
