The role of Retail Security Officer:

  • Provide a visible uniformed deterrent, contributing to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff.
  • Carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors.
  • Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site.
  • Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
  • Carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager.
  • Ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and local developments are identified.
  • Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
  • Assist with staff and contractor searches if required by the client.
  • Maintain the Security base in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that brings credit to yourself and the Company, wearing full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed.

The ideal Retail Security Officer:

  • SG or DS SIA licence required.
  • Aged 18 or over.
  • Confident communicator and team player.
  • Great communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable with digital and paperless admin systems.
  • Drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times.
