The role of HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and necessary paperwork in compliance with legal requirements
- Following all safety protocols and procedures, including use of PPE and adherence to health and safety regulations
The ideal HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects correctly
- Compliance with on-site health and safety requirements
- Understanding of driver's hours and WTD legislation
- Minimum 6 months previous experience
- Valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC, and Tacho cards
