Hours:
- Average 42 hours per week
- 12‑hour shift pattern rotating through days and weekends
- 4 on 4 off: 05:30am–17:30pm and 06:30am–18:30pm
The role of Enhanced Security Officer:
- Comply with all Health & Safety procedures as set by the client and the security provider
- Conduct delivery vehicle and person checks and comply with DCO obligations
- Escalate any delivery issues accordingly
- Deploy on task as set by the supervisor
- Conduct duties at the Site Main Entry Point
- Carry out search procedures on vehicles and personnel
- Conduct high visibility patrols (foot and mobile)
- Operate Proof of Presence
- Respond to security incidents and assist in the coordination of follow‑up activities
- Produce incident reports
- Liaise with Emergency services
- Operate, maintain equipment and report equipment failures and faults
- Deliver the highest standards of customer and employee care
- Use the Delivery Management System and liaise with vehicle drivers arriving on the main construction site
The ideal Enhanced Security Officer:
- Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence (Security Guard level or above) — full SIA training can be provided to suitable candidates
- Able to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting
- Able to produce a five‑year verifiable work history
- Good standard of education in Maths, English and IT
- Prior experience in a corporate, Critical National Infrastructure, Police or Military environment is preferred
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Highest levels of integrity, respectfulness and professionalism
- Engaging and proactive can‑do attitude
- Effective listener and communicator
- Ability to plan ahead and share intelligence to prevent surprises
