Ascend Consulting is a specialist recruitment firm working with top-tier technology-driven businesses. We are currently partnering with a leading financial software company seeking a Front-End React Developer to join their team onsite in North West London.
About The Role
As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality user interfaces using React.js. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into functional code, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong grasp of modern JavaScript, React.js, and state management tools such as Redux and RTK.
Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features using React.js
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries
- Translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimize components for performance across web-capable devices and browsers
- Collaborate with back-end and design teams to deliver consistent solutions
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of the DOM and JavaScript object model
- Experience with TypeScript
- Deep knowledge of React.js and core principles
- Hands-on experience with Redux and Redux Toolkit (RTK); experience with RTK Query is a bonus
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Understanding of modern authentication methods (e.g., JSON Web Token)
- Experience with front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Babel, Webpack, NPM)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Familiarity with Git for version control
- Experience with React Native is a plus
