About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Security Engineer (SOC) to join a dynamic security team responsible for safeguarding critical network infrastructure. This role involves supporting proactive cyber defense operations within a 24/7 security environment, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of organizational data and systems. The successful candidate will work closely with senior security leaders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain advanced security measures. Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in network security principles and hands-on experience with security tools and protocols.
• Relevant qualifications include industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Cisco CCNP Security.
• A thorough understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLANs, is essential.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, firewalls (Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto), and secure proxy solutions is required.
• Familiarity with security protocols such as IPSec, SSL/TLS, and VPNs, along with traffic analysis and packet capture skills, is highly desirable.
• Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to network security incidents and support SOC triage activities to identify and mitigate threats.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust network security solutions to protect organizational assets.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize next-generation firewalls, ensuring maximum security and performance.
• Manage secure proxy platforms, including SSL inspection and traffic filtering, to enforce security policies.
• Identify vulnerabilities within network infrastructure and execute secure remediation strategies.
• Support compliance efforts by aligning security practices with industry standards and best practices.
• Enhance and standardize network security tools based on purple team findings, fostering continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure infrastructure changes and updates.
• Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, configurations, and procedures for audit and review purposes.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with emerging security threats and solutions.
