About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and creative Digital Marketing Manager to join the Courtauld’s Marketing and Communications team. This full‑time role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance the organisation’s digital presence, engaging diverse audiences through innovative content and strategic campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the organisation’s digital platforms, including social media, email marketing and content creation, in alignment with the Courtauld’s brand philosophy of ‘look deeper, see further.’ You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to craft compelling narratives that highlight the organisation’s programming, research and exhibitions. Your expertise will help expand the Courtauld’s digital reach, foster community engagement and support the organisation’s overarching mission of making art accessible and engaging to all.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital marketing, with proven experience managing social media channels, email marketing platforms and content strategy.
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a keen eye for visual storytelling.
- Experience working with social media analytics, data‑driven insights and campaign management tools is required.
- Familiarity with GDPR and PECR regulations, as well as experience onboarding and training users on email platforms such as Wordfly, will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of social media strategies across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Threads, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and branding standards.
- Collaborate with marketing officers, digital content producers and external partners to conceive, develop and share engaging content that showcases the Courtauld’s programming and scholarly work.
- Innovate and introduce new content formats and channels to enhance visibility and engagement, including influencer collaborations and interactive campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and the student body to identify new content opportunities and foster a vibrant digital community.
- Manage paid social media advertising campaigns in partnership with the digital marketing agency to support channel growth and audience targeting.
- Oversee the organisation’s email marketing strategy, including campaign planning, list segmentation, compliance management and performance analysis.
- Coordinate with teams to develop, test and deploy high‑quality email campaigns, ensuring adherence to GDPR and PECR regulations.
- Regularly analyse campaign data and insights to optimise email marketing efforts and improve engagement metrics.
- Onboard new users to the Wordfly email platform, providing training, support and ensuring compliance with email guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Courtauld’s new email preference centre, enhancing user control and data management.
