About The RoleThe Data Analyst position is a vital role within a charitable organization focused on providing exceptional care for children and families across the South-West of England. This part-time, hybrid role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled data professional to contribute meaningfully to organizational growth and service improvement. The successful candidate will develop and enhance reporting capabilities, create insightful dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making processes. This role is designed for someone eager to shape the organization\’s data culture, influence strategic initiatives, and help improve the quality of care delivered to the community.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis and visualization, with proven experience designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports. Essential qualifications include a Power BI certification or equivalent analytics training, along with knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques. Experience in data warehousing or similar tools is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive mindset, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Strong organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills are also required to succeed in this collaborative environment. A commitment to data quality, governance, and continuous improvement is essential for this role.

ResponsibilitiesThe Data Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of activities aimed at enhancing the organization\’s data capabilities:

Build engaging, accurate dashboards and reports using Power BI to support various teams and organizational functions.

Develop data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations to ensure data accuracy and usability.

Maintain data quality, consistency, and reliability across the organization to support informed decision-making.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate requirements into clear, intuitive solutions.

Support colleagues in accessing, interpreting, and confidently using data for their operational and strategic activities.

Contribute to the organization\’s data and analytics roadmap, supporting ongoing development and maturity.

Help shape governance policies, documentation standards, and best practices to ensure sustainable data management.

Stay current with new features and capabilities in Power BI and related data platforms to continuously enhance analytical tools and processes.
