About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract within the legal sector. In this pivotal role, you will support the financial planning and analysis functions, providing critical insights and accurate reporting to facilitate informed decision-making. Working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, as well as identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with credentials such as ACA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification. You should possess proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) or financial analysis, preferably within a legal or professional services environment. Strong proficiency in Excel is essential, with experience in BI tools being advantageous. Responsibilities

  • Supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Reviewing financial performance against established targets, analyzing variances, and identifying key drivers to inform decision-making.
  • Preparing comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Driving operational efficiencies by automating reporting processes and streamlining data collection methods.
  • Partnering with business leaders and stakeholders to provide actionable financial insights, recommendations, and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Monitoring cash flow, financial metrics, and key performance indicators to ensure financial health and compliance.
  • Supporting ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by senior management.
