About The Role
The Finance Analyst position based in Basingstoke is a vital role within a large, complex organisation, primarily focused on delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and effective business partnering. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive end‑to‑end reporting and analysis for designated business areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and present monthly management information packs that provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Support the completion of Group Controlling reporting packages, including Order Intake, Backlog, Sales, and Headcount data.
- Monitor business performance against rolling monthly forecasts, focusing on sales, EBIT, and cash flow metrics.
- Identify project delays, forecast gaps, and lead times by partnering closely with operational teams to facilitate corrective actions.
- Provide data and support for commission calculations, and manage the monthly accruals process to ensure financial accuracy.
- Manage trade receivables, including reconciliations, payment allocations, and resolving outstanding queries across various business streams.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Transport BI interfaces, ensuring accurate reporting on transport costs, cancellations, customer recoveries, and supplier reconciliations.
- Oversee accruals related to transport and logistics activities, maintaining accuracy in financial records.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to Finance Business Partners, regional teams, and other key stakeholders across the organisation.
