We’re looking for a proven Account Director to lead on delivering Solar PV and LED lighting projects that cut carbon, reduce costs, and create a sustainable future for schools, councils, the NHS, and other public bodies.
As Public Sector Account Director, you’ll develop and manage key relationships with public sector organisations across the UK. You’ll be a trusted partner to estates, sustainability, finance, and procurement leaders—helping them navigate funding challenges and implement large-scale decarbonisation programmes. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building partnerships, securing long-term agreements, and driving measurable results.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and grow a portfolio of public sector accounts, with a focus on multi-site opportunities (schools, healthcare facilities, leisure centres, local authority estates).
- Drive sales growth in Solar PV and LED upgrades, hitting or exceeding annual revenue targets.
- Map key decision-makers and build strong stakeholder relationships across senior levels.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities, building business cases backed by savings analysis and carbon reduction outcomes.
- Lead the full sales cycle—from initial engagement to framework procurement, tender submissions, and contract negotiation.
- Stay on top of government policy, grants, and funding options that support public sector Net Zero goals.
- Represent the company at trade shows, council events, and sector forums.
About You
- 5–10+ years’ experience selling decarbonisation, energy efficiency, or net zero solutions to the public sector.
- Proven ability to build C-level relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Commercially sharp with excellent financial acumen—comfortable with ROI, savings calculations, and contract structures.
- A consultative, solution-driven salesperson who is resilient, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Willingness to travel regionally to client sites.
