We're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing team working on electrical power and infrastructure projects. This is a key role focused on producing accurate, competitive estimates and supporting high-quality bid submissions that win work.
The Role
- You'll take the lead on preparing detailed cost estimates for complex electrical projects, working closely with sales and bid teams to develop pricing strategies and deliver successful tenders.
- Alongside estimating, you'll play an important role in managing project documentation through a Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring everything is structured, compliant, and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates across electrical power projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and client requirements to build accurate pricing models
- Account for materials, labour, subcontractors, risk, and project costs
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options within bids
- Support the full tender lifecycle from enquiry through to submission
- Contribute to bid strategy, pricing approach, and client submissions
- Manage and maintain documentation within a Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Ensure all documents are controlled, compliant, and correctly versioned
- Support handover to delivery teams on successful projects
About You
- Strong experience in estimating within electrical or power infrastructure projects
- Commercially aware with the ability to price complex, multi-disciplinary bids
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and documentation skills
- Confident working with bid teams and stakeholders across projects
- Experience with CDE systems and document control best practices
- Able to manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment
