This is a solid opportunity for a qualified electrician to join a well established electrical contractor delivering projects across Central London. The work is varied, the standards are high, and the role suits someone who takes real pride in quality installation and safe working practice.
The role
You will carry out first fix and second fix electrical installation, testing, inspection and maintenance across a range of commercial and residential projects and maintenance contracts. Day to day responsibilities include:
β’ Installing cable management systems including conduit, trunking and cable tray to a plumb, level and secure standard β’ Pulling, routing, terminating and labelling cables correctly in accordance with BS 7671 β’ Fitting accessories, luminaires, distribution boards and control gear to specification β’ Carrying out initial verification and periodic inspection and testing, completing accurate certification including EICRs β’ Identifying and reporting faults, defects and site discrepancies promptly β’ Working safely within permit to work systems and relevant method statements at all times
What we are looking for
β’ A Level 3 electrical installation qualification (City and Guilds 2360, 2357, EAL or equivalent) β’ 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification β’ JIB Gold Card or equivalent approved electrician status β’ Inspection and testing qualification (City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent) β’ CSCS or JIB ECS card as required for site access β’ Proven first and second fix experience in commercial or residential settings β’ Ability to read drawings and work independently to a high standard β’ EV charging certification is an advantage where that scope applies
