Job Overview
Our client is a property management company and is seeking a full-time, remote Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage the accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate financial records. This role involves a mix of financial, administrative, and communication tasks, supporting the Controller and ownership team.
Responsibilities
- Process and Reconcile Payments: Handle all aspects of accounts payable, including processing bill payments and reconciling within Ramp.
- Manage Tenant and Vendor Ledgers: Post rent payments and maintain accurate tenant ledgers in Buildium. Set up and update vendor profiles and coordinate with the collections team to ensure ledger accuracy.
- Assist with Financial Operations: Support the Controller with bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing procedures, and general administrative projects as needed.
- Handle Vendor Communications: Act as a key point of contact for vendors and subcontractors, ensuring smooth communication regarding payments and inquiries.
- Administrative and Reporting Tasks: Monitor utility payments for properties, sort mail from the virtual P.O. Box, and assist with ad-hoc projects requested by the Controller or company owners.
Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or similar accounting role
- Fluent in English (Required)
- Experience in Real Estate Accounting (Preferred)
